In this episode of The Download, Ronnie is joined by EFEX Sales Director Andrew Herrmann. EFEX is a managed services company specialising in print and Voice and Data. During the 4 years of EFEXs life, Andrew has grown his sales team from 2 to 14. Before EFEX he spent his early days as a cyclist, racing and competing throughout Australia and internationally. This has given him a unique understanding of how to compete as a team in what is considered a very individual sport, not too dissimilar from the sales world.


[02:32] Andrew: Discipline is a big thing, knowing when to do something and when not to do something is also very important.
[03:31] Andrew: When it comes to staff, it’s also allowing them to be able to make decisions for themselves.
[04:26] Andrew: There is the leader of the team. The team is essentially working silently for you and helping you out, breaking the wind, getting you to the end of the stage.
[05:25] Ronnie: The role of your manager is to make it easy for you to do your job, and your role is to make them look good.
[08:38] Andrew: The old saying of earning your stripes, we still need to do that.
