Do you know how productive your users are?
Poorly performing IT systems provide workers an excuse to be less efficient and troubleshooting can be very difficult. If there is a perception that everything takes three times as long to load workers slowly but surely adjust to working at a much slower rate. If your business creates physical products that depends on a functional IT system, a poorly configured infrastructure directly affects output and therefore profitability. The question is how do you empirically know?
You can’t manage what you can’t measure but how do you measure productivity?
Enter the Experience Monitoring Service (EMS) providing monitoring and load testing for efficiency across all aspects of an environment.
The inspiration for this service occurred around 18 months ago when one of our clients was asked by his CFO, fresh out of a board meeting, “How do we know how productive our users are?” When you can’t provide your CFO with visibility and reporting as needed you know you’re in trouble.
EMS combines a variety of industry leading technologies and some clever Insentra IP to deliver a multi-faceted efficiency care and reporting system allowing us to run all manner of tests to isolate and identify problems and solve them before you’ve even become aware of them.
Every morning before your production day, the EMS will load test your virtual environment to capacity allowing for proactive resolution of issues if last night’s change had a knock on effect. When your users arrive – it just works… as it should.
During times of production, EMS automatically test various business applications and functions with virtual users. If the user experience does not meet predefined service levels, EMS pro-actively alerts our service team who work to resolve the issue, often before real users are even aware.
EMS is tailored according to the specific requirements of your organisation. This could include efficiency tests on Outlook, reporting and print functions, log on times, application launch times for each of your sites, bandwidth, and more. Your custom dashboard creates a live snapshot of the end user experience and the current health status of your systems. As part of the service Insentra will also provide your organisation with an executive report, which can be generated monthly, or on demand.
