The First Edition
Welcome to our new look Insentragram and our first for 2017. We have been busy working in the background on new offerings for our channel partners and establishing strategic relationships with new vendors, all of which will unfold over the coming months… exciting times indeed. If you want a sneak peak, take a look at both Cogmotive and UpGuard – both very different plays yet very relevant to every organisation using Office 365 and those concerned about cyber resilience (which let’s face it is every single company).
In this month’s Insentragram we are showcasing FSLogix. Insentra have undertaken the exclusive rights to bring the FSLogix solutions to market and we are very excited about their portfolio of offerings, particularly the Office 365 Container. Leveraging FSLogix, Outlook on XenApp and XenDesktop can now function and perform as if locally installed on a high performance virtual workspace session. This is particularly important as the market moves to Office 365 Exchange Online and users demand performance. I won’t steal the thunder of our Citrix CTP, Aaron Parker who has contributed three short videos to our Insentragram this month. Just for something different, Steve Boi, co-founder and Director of Sales has contributed a controversial and thought provoking article about the unnatural sales acts which have now become natural.
Food for thought…
There is no doubt our market is moving at a very rapid pace with cloud continuing to drive the demand and technical resources are becoming increasingly hard to find. I recently did a search on Seek Australia and found 780 job ad’s for “Azure” and over 1,100 for “AWS”. So what? I hear you say. The ‘so what’ here is there is more work than skills available in the market – a problem that has been rife in our industry for some time and indeed, a problem Insentra was established to address.
How are we as an industry rising to this demand and ensuring the quality of our delivery? This is not a question I have the answer for, however one I ponder on a regular basis. Many organisations try to address this in their own bubble… how good would it be if we had a number of us working together to solve? I would be keen to hear your thoughts on how, together, we can strategically seek ways to address the consistent under supply of resources such as combined graduate recruitment drives to mentoring programs, university outreach, school presentations on why IT is a great place to be etc. Drop me a line with your thoughts.
