INSENTRA’S ESG COMMITMENT
Insentra has always strived to be the best version of ourselves, and this mission extends to our role as stewards of the environment.
We see our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibilities not as duties, but as a way to demonstrate our company values—Honesty, Integrity, Accountability and as we achieve our goals, Celebration. Through our dedicated ESG initiatives, we aim to become better stewards of the environment, encourage mindful use of our resources and build a better future for our stakeholders and the communities we serve.
OUR ESG JOURNEY
ENVIRONMENT
In 2024, we’ve taken a significant step to reduce our carbon footprint by committing to science-based emissions targets with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). SBTi is a global organisation that empowers companies to combat the climate crisis by developing standards, tools and guidance. These resources help companies set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets aligned with the goal of limiting global warming to safe levels and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Following an approval of our SBTi, companies are required to disclose emissions annually and monitor progress on reaching their target. Therefore, Insentra will continue to be accountable with our Carbon Accounting.
Insentra’s SBTi Target language is as follows: Insentra commits to reduce scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions. Insentra commits to reach net-zero by 2050. As part of this, Insentra commits to reduce scope 1+2+3 emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2022 base year. This target was approved using a streamlined target validation route exclusive to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). https://sciencebasedtargets.org/faqs-for-smes/
SOCIAL
Responsible employment practices have always shaped Insentra’s operations, driving the social arm of our ESG commitment. Our company culture is the cornerstone of our success, recognising our people as the backbone of our operations.
Our Train Story guides us to foster a working environment where collaboration, inclusivity and mutual respect flourish. We believe that a positive, supportive culture not only enhances employee satisfaction and well-being, but also fuels innovation and exceptional service delivery.
GOVERNANCE
Insentra is committed to integrating sustainability into our core governance framework. Our management structure reflects our commitment to ESG principles.
Our Vibe team oversees the governance of our sustainability efforts. Vibe is tasked with defining our ESG strategies, approving related initiatives and monitoring and reporting.
Our senior management, including the CEO and CFO, actively participates in ESG-related discussions and decisions, demonstrating our leadership’s commitment to sustainability. Regular meetings are held to vote on critical ESG matters to ensure sustainability is a key consideration in our strategic planning.
By maintaining a clear and transparent governance structure, actively engaging with stakeholders and continuously improving our practices, we aim to create a positive impact on the environment and society while driving long-term value for our stakeholders.
Insentra’s leadership is invested in taking positive action for the environment, from ensuring our office spaces had reusable dinnerware in 2017 to running Plastic-Free initiatives in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we prioritised sustainability by opting for biodegradable masks over plastic and sustainable options while adhering to health and safety protocols.
In 2023, we embraced a proactive approach to climate action by starting our carbon accounting journey. By measuring our carbon emissions, Insentra has a better understanding of where we can make our biggest impact on reducing emissions. This commitment to sustainability enables us to implement effective strategies, promote environmental stewardship, and drive meaningful change within our industry.
