WHERE WE'RE AT

At Insentra, we recognise that meaningful climate action starts with understanding and measuring our environmental impact. Since beginning our formal carbon accounting journey in 2023, we have continued to strengthen our approach through annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting, emissions monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

We continually explore new initiatives to lessen the environmental impact of our daily operations. Our efforts focus on ongoing improvement across a number of areas, including optimising office space and equipment usage, implementing responsible business travel practices, reducing and recycling waste, sourcing more sustainable products and minimising the use of disposable items. As a remote-first organisation, conducting most of our meetings online also helps reduce travel-related emissions while enabling flexible ways of working for our teams.

Through annual carbon accounting and transparent reporting, we are building a better understanding of our emissions profile and identifying opportunities to reduce our environmental impact over time.

OUR CARBON ACCOUNTING JOURNEY

Insentra’s leadership is invested in taking positive action for the environment, from ensuring our office spaces had reusable dinnerware in 2017 to running Plastic-Free initiatives in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we prioritised sustainability by opting for biodegradable masks over plastic and sustainable options while adhering to health and safety protocols.

In 2023, we took our first official step towards a proactive approach to climate action by starting our carbon accounting journey. By understanding our emissions profile, we can identify where we can have the greatest impact and make more informed decisions about how we reduce emissions across our operations. This provides a foundation for monitoring our progress over time and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Since then, we have continued to strengthen our approach through annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting aligned with the GHG Protocol. Regular reporting helps us benchmark performance indicators and evaluate progress over time. It keeps us It keeps us accountable for the resources we consume and the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our operations. Making our carbon data publicly available also ensures transparency to our stakeholders, giving everyone visibility into our consumption and emissions.

As we continue our sustainability journey, we remain focused on achieving our long-term emissions reduction commitments and progressing towards our 2050 net-zero target.

Our near- and long-term targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We’re proud to announce we have committed to reducing scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions. Insentra commits to reach net-zero by 2050. As part of this, Insentra commits to reduce scope 1+2+3 emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2022 base year.
