WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a Level 3 Support Engineer, your day to day tasks include:  

  • As an engineer you will be responsible for a set group of clients and must ensure that Client Contact and technical data are kept up to date in the Managed Services team planner and disseminated appropriately amongst all relevant support structures   
  • Support of Microsoft services including Azure, Active Directory, Config Manager, SQL, Microsoft 365, and EMS (Intune, AADP, AIP)  
  • Design and implement solutions for clients 
  • Documentation including support processes and procedures 
  • Building relationships with customers and partners 
  • Manage clients in BAU and major incidents 
  • Understanding and awareness of Service Management processes and tools 
  • Staying up to date with the fast-paced world of IT 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Our team is fast-paced, nimble and stands for excellence. This role is for someone who loves variety and is passionate about growing their career as a world-class engineer. You will be responsible for supporting global customers, and assisting with day to day Modern Desktop support tasks such as: 

  • Support of Microsoft services including Azure, Active Directory, Config Manager, SQL, Microsoft 365, and EMS (Intune, AADP, AIP) 
  • Assisting with the development, enhancement, and documentation of Insentra support processes for Azure, Active Directory, Config Manager, SQL, Microsoft 365, and EMS (Intune, AADP, AIP) 
  • Mentoring, supporting, and developing service desk agents 
  • Working closely with our partners to deliver exceptional outcomes 
  • Owning and driving customer success 
  • Performing a critical role in the coordination and delivery of technical support to the customer and is seen as an extension of the client’s IT Operations team 
  • “Own” escalations pre-, during, and post incident, ensuring regular and timely feedback is provided to the client throughout the lifecycle of the escalation  
  • Participate in all technical conference calls, analysis sessions, and post incident reviews for P2 – P3 Escalations’ and between Insentra engineers, 3rd Party Vendor support teams and customer and partner support teams

The Microsoft Support Engineer reports to the Managed Services Director and works closely with our partner engineers and business leaders. 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

If you can demonstrate strong experience of the following we would love to chat to you: 

  • Active Directory – General, but also skills in AD Azure, AD Group Policy, AD on prem are desirable  
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Management (SCCM), including App packaging, patch management and deployment, reporting, ADR, WSUS 
  • Advance Administration of Windows Server 2012 R2 – Windows Server 2022, Wintel  
  • Advanced management and deployment of all Microsoft 365 & EMS (Intune, Azure AD) 
  • Powershell  

In addition, a good working knowledge of and experience with some or all the following are highly desirable. 

  • PatchMyPC 
  • Experience with admin of Azure Resource Management (VM, VNet, LoadBalancer etc)  
  • Advanced experience in administration of MS Security (including Microsoft Sentiental, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, riskyUsers) and other aspects of P1/P2 license functionality   
  • HyperV  
  • Failover Cluster Manager  
  • Systems Center Data Protection Manager (DPM)  
  • Azure Recovery Services Vault & Azure Backup  
  • App Blocker  
  • PowerBI  
  • Experience in supporting Hybrid / Cloud only enviroment  
  • Microsoft Messaging – Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, Exchange Hybrid, Exchange 2013-2019
